Terms of Use
Please use Britain for Christ lawfully, respectfully and with appropriate responsibility for your own decisions.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to use of the Britain for Christ website and installed web app. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or misuse its content, forms, directory data or technical features.
2. Ministry information, not professional advice
Britain for Christ provides Christian ministry information and public-resource signposting. It is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, safeguarding, emergency or other regulated professional advice. Where professional or emergency help is required, use the appropriate qualified or statutory service.
3. Church directory
Directory inclusion is not accreditation, endorsement, approval or a guarantee of doctrine, safeguarding, governance, accessibility, service times or current contact details. Users should verify important information directly with the church or relevant official source before relying on it.
4. External links
Links to external websites are provided for convenience and source transparency. Britain for Christ does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, security or later changes.
5. Intellectual property
Use of website content is subject to the Copyright & Intellectual Property notice. You must not falsely claim authorship of original Britain for Christ material, remove ownership notices, or reproduce substantial protected material in a way that requires permission without obtaining it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the website to distribute malware, probe or disrupt systems, submit unlawful or abusive material, impersonate another person or organisation, misrepresent a relationship with Britain for Christ, harvest personal information, or use automated extraction in a way that unlawfully copies or materially burdens the site.
7. Submissions
Where the site allows event, testimony, prayer, directory or partnership information to be prepared for submission, you remain responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to provide that information. Submission does not guarantee publication, endorsement or response. Britain for Christ may decline, edit, correct or remove submitted material where appropriate.
8. Saved items and transfer tools
Saved churches and resources are stored locally in the user's browser. Backup files and transfer codes are created under the user's control and are not intended as a secure cloud account. Users are responsible for keeping backup files or transfer codes appropriately private and for understanding that clearing browser data may remove saved items.
9. Availability and changes
The site may be changed, corrected, expanded, suspended or withdrawn without guaranteeing continuous availability. Cached or offline copies may be outdated; reconnect before relying on time-sensitive information.
10. No unauthorised representation
No person, church or organisation may present itself as an official representative, partner, branch or authorised spokesperson of Britain for Christ solely because it appears in the directory, links to the website, attends an event, submits content or shares a resource.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful. Subject to applicable law, users remain responsible for independent decisions made on the basis of public information, external links, directory entries or voluntarily saved material.
12. Governing position and updates
These website terms are intended for a UK-based ministry project and may be updated as the project develops, particularly if Britain for Christ later adopts a formal legal entity, charitable structure, payment facility, membership model or other regulated activity.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, permissions or rights concerns can be raised through the Contact Hub.
