Choose your device

WINDOWS

Microsoft Edge or Chrome

  1. Open britainforchrist.org.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu.
  3. Choose Install Britain for Christ or the equivalent install-app option.
  4. Open it later from Start, desktop or the taskbar if you pin it there.
ANDROID

Chrome / supported browser

  1. Open britainforchrist.org.
  2. Open the browser menu.
  3. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm. Britain for Christ should then appear with your other apps or home-screen shortcuts.
IPHONE / IPAD

Safari

  1. Open britainforchrist.org in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.
Moving saved items

Windows ↔ Android ↔ iPhone/iPad

Your Saved list is intentionally local to each browser. Version 17 gives you two private ways to move it.

Backup file — recommended

On the first device, open Saved → Download backup. Send or save the JSON backup somewhere you control. On the second device, open Saved → Choose backup file and import it.

Transfer code — quick option

On the first device, open Saved → Create transfer code. Copy or message the code to yourself. On the other device, paste it into Restore from code.

What transfers?

Your saved church shortlist and saved Britain for Christ resource links. The backup does not contain a password or an online Britain for Christ account because Version 17 does not create user accounts.

What does not automatically sync?

Changes made later on one device do not instantly appear on the others. Create a new backup or transfer code whenever you want to bring the other device up to date.

Offline reminder: the app uses online information whenever possible. Previously cached pages may be available without internet, but reconnect before relying on current church links, events, safeguarding information or other time-sensitive details.
