BRITAIN FOR CHRIST GOD'S AUTHORITY, PROMISES & SPIRITUAL WARFARE SCRIPTURE STUDY & PRAYER GUIDE — VERSION 20 THE FOUNDATION Christian spiritual authority begins with the sovereign Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Believers stand under God's authority and in the finished victory of Jesus Christ; spiritual authority is not self-generated power. 1. GOD'S SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY Study: - Psalm 103:19 - Daniel 4:35 - Matthew 28:18-20 - Ephesians 1:15-23 Prayer focus: Praise God as sovereign Lord. Submit your plans, fears and decisions to Him. 2. CHRIST'S VICTORY OVER DARKNESS Study: - Colossians 1:13-20 - Colossians 2:13-15 - Hebrews 2:14-18 - 1 John 3:8 Prayer focus: Thank Jesus Christ for His cross, resurrection, reign and victory.
